With the mid-terms elections behind us and significant opportunities head, Terry joins our December meeting to provide an update on key issues and efforts that are underway as well as areas of focus that party's leadership drive as we prepare for 2024.
As State Representative for House District 20, Terry is honored to serve as the Appropriations Article III chair which oversees all funding for public education and higher education, making up 40% of the entire state budget. Drawing upon his military and leadership experience in research and development, Terry is committed to expanding vocational education opportunities for all students, so they can graduate with a degree, be college and job ready with a certificate in hand.
In the past, Terry has also served on the Higher Education, Criminal Jurisprudence, and Defense & Veterans Affairs committees. Additionally, Terry had the privilege of chairing the Aggregate Productions and Operations Interim Committee. His primary focus was to address nuisance concerns with aggregate production companies without over-regulating and over- burdening industry. This session, he was able to negotiate legislation that encourages industry best practice measures by aggregate production operations and batch plants.
Colonel Terry Wilson, US Army (Ret.), was born in Odessa, Texas. He is a committed husband and father, and a decorated combat veteran. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and an MS in Strategic Logistics Plans and Management from the Air War University.

The Georgetown Area Republican Women meet on the third Thursday of the month from 11am to 1pm at the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce on Commerce Drive.
Reservations are required to prepare our luncheon.
Any member may submit a written request for a discussion and possible action item to the President’s Agenda no later than 48 hours before the meeting.
Attendees need not be members and we welcome visitors who wish to listen in and hear what we are all about.
As well, members are encouraged to bring a guest.
Membership is open to all women; gentlemen may register as Associate Members.
Please note a reservation requires a commitment of $20.00 per person for luncheon and program whether or not you attend. The club is obliged to pay for all meals prepared. A meeting only option is available for $10.
